Stevington Guitar Concerts Present

A Tribute to Woody Mann

Guitarist, Teacher, Film Maker

Saturday 22nd March 2025

Woody Mann

30 December 1952 – 27 January 2022

To recognise the influence and impact Woody Mann had on musicians all over the world, and particularly in the UK, Stevington Guitar Concerts are presenting a tribute concert to him on 22 March 2025, featuring some of the
best country blues players in the UK. Woody Mann was an internationally renowned guitarist, film maker and teacher. As a young man he studied guitar with Reverend Gary Davis a guitarist whose complex playing has influenced modern music.

Woody visited the UK frequently, playing and teaching. He was tremendously supportive of live music and helped musicians wherever they were on their musical journey.

Details of the concert and a list of performing artists will be released before the end of 2024.

Woody Mann Guitar

When Luthier Simon Hewlett heard about the Stevington Guitar Concerts tribute to Woody, he set about making and donating a guitar for the event, which will be auctioned with all proceeds to be donated to the Amber Trust.
The guitar is unique and has on it “In memory of Woody Mann” written in braille.

The proceeds of this concert will be donated to The Amber Trust a charity dedicated to providing musical opportunities for blind and partially sighted children and children with more complex needs, via its Music Awards and Music Services.
